Arsenal are going to be busy signing players this summer, with an expectation that there will be major incomings.

That’s at least according to Jurrien Timber, via Soccer News, who has admitted that he expects an influx of new signings for Arsenal this summer.

Soccer News cover comments from the Arsenal defender, made on the Matchday podcast, in which he’s been discussing various subjects.

Arsenal are expected to be busy throughout the summer transfer window, with Mikel Arteta and new director of football Andrea Berta promising investment into the squad.

A striker is likely to be at the top of their list, while a deal for midfielder Martin Zubimendi has been edging closer and closer for two months. They are unlikely to be the only arrivals as the Gunners look to get closer to the Premier League title next season.

Timber is certainly expecting a number of arrivals and is willing to admit as much when asked about potential transfer business at Arsenal.

“It will definitely be a busy one for Arsenal,” he said.

“I think we’ll get a lot of players, because we had so many injuries last season. At one point we almost had no players left. So, they definitely want to get players for the depth.”

One player who has been mentioned in the past is Jurrien’s brother Quinten Timber, who has long been linked with a move to the Premier League.

Arsenal have been credited with an interest, but his older brother isn’t speculating on them playing together for the time being.

“We still have enough time for that. Against each other was also fun, Feyenoord and Ajax,” he added.
