Yesterday, the Swiss press claimed Burnley are making progress in a move for Lazio’s Loum Tchaouna.
This was quickly backed up by Sky Italia and the Clarets appear to be edging closer to landing the winger, with a price of around €13m-15m predicted.
Now, Lazio sporting director Angelo Fabiani has spoken about Burnley’s interest in the Frenchman, who was also linked with a move to Leicester City in the January transfer window.
In a chat with Nonsolomercato, Fabiani made it clear that proposals have arrived and the club are making decisions.
He said, as relayed by NoiBiancocelesti: “Tchaouna to Burnley? There are some requests for the boy but we are making 360° evaluations. We want to start again with the best, we don’t want to dismantle. We will evaluate the different proposals.”
Fabiani didn’t want to go further player’s situation but his comments make it clear there’s something going on.
Tchaouna wasn’t handed too much playing time during his first season at Lazio, featuring for only 647 minutes in Serie A and scoring once.
He could get more playing time at Burnley, who have been keen on making attacking additions to the squad this summer.
