Anthony Racioppi left Young Boys for Hull City in August of last year and made only one appearance for the Championship club, which came in the EFL Cup defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.

The Tigers sent the goalkeeper on loan to 1. FC Köln in January and he failed to feature for their first team.

After a disappointing season, the 26-year-old is set to leave Hull City for FC Sion.

That’s according to Blick, who report on the advances made by the Swiss club to sign him. They state Sion are ‘nearing the end of the negotiations’ with Sergej Jakirović’s side.

Sion have already found an agreement with the Geneva-born stopper and in the past few days they also ‘reached an agreement’ with Hull City. The report provides no details of the agreement or whether it’ll be on loan or a permanent transfer.

Blick state Racioppi’s arrival is ‘imminent’ and only a few details are left to be sorted out. They add that in the ‘coming hours or days’, all documents related to transfer will be signed and Sion can then make Racioppi’s transfer official.
