Last week, we covered claims from Italy that Leeds United have made an initial bid for US Lecce’s Nikola Krstović. It was also stated the English club have to convince the player if they’re to secure his services this summer.
On Monday, Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno reported the Whites have no plans to give up on the 25-year-old, after the Serie A side rejected their first offer. They also stated Daniel Farke’s side are expected to make an improved offer.
Leeds United have made advances in their pursuit of the striker if Tuesday’s edition of Corriere dello Sport is to be believed.
The newspaper states the Italian club have reached an ‘agreement in principle’ with Leeds to sell the attacker for €23m. It’s to be noted earlier claims stated Lecce were requesting as much as €35m for Krstović.
Lecce and Leeds are now waiting for the Montenegro international’s response.
The Premier League club have already made an offer to the player. Corriere state they are now ready to improve their proposal to Krstović so that they can tempt him to join them.
